After graduating from a Master of clinical psychology in University of New South Wales, Sara spent most of her time working as a clinical psychologist in the Hong Kong SAR government serving children, adolescents (and their care-givers) and adult trauma-survivors. In this service, she provided psychological assessment and treatment for a wide range of developmental challenges and childhood mental health conditions including attachment issues, disruptive mood dysregulation problems, behavioural challenges, social interaction issues and attentional difficulties. She offered parents enrichment, relational enhancement and parent self-development programs for biological parents, foster parents, adoptive parents and out-of-home residential services. She also offered professional trainings for social workers and other mental health professionals on child protection issues, trauma-informed care and creative treatment approaches.
Upon completing her early childhood education teacher training, Sara is passionate about enhancing the wholistic development of a person. Sara has offered case consultation and professional trainings in early childhood education settings to foster inner development of teachers and care-givers. Currently, she offers an evidence-based integrative treatment approach including top-down interventions (cognitive behavioural therapy CBT) and bottom up processes (non-directive and directive play therapy, sand play therapy, eye-movement desensitization reprocessing EMDR, trauma-informed yoga TCTSY) for children, adolescents, adults and their significant others.
